Almond Festival Schedule of Events 2024

The Esparto Regional Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the 109th Annual Capay Valley Almond Festival on Sunday, February 25, 2024. February is the best time to view the incredible bloom of the Capay Valley’s almond trees and celebrate the rich heritage of the Capay Valley. https://espartoregionalchamber.com

 

There are many events up and down the Capay Valley. The  PASSPORT locations include Esparto, Capay: Capay Valley Lavender Farm, Road Trip Bar & Grill, and Taber Ranch, Brooks: Seka Hills Olive Mill and Capay Valley Vineyards, Guinda: Grange Hall, and Rumsey:  The Rumsey Town Hall. Get your pink PASSPORT stamped at 4 of the 8 locations and submit the completed PASSPORT at any of the locations to participate in the Prize Drawing.

 

Here is the Schedule of Events, starting at the top of the Valley, in RUMSEY and ending in ESPARTO. Saturday events are noted.

 

RUMSEY PASSPORT Location at The Rumsey Hall. Events include Children’s area with activities 10 am - 4 pm, Brazilian Beat music Noon - 4 pm, Silent Auction 9 am - 4 pm, Art Show.  Food & Drinks:  Wood fired pizza 10 am - 4 pm, home-made chili & slaw 11 am - 4 pm, home baked goods 9 am - 5 pm, Farmers Market, Vendor Fair, and Craft Beer by Blue Note Brewery.

 

GUINDA PASSPORT Location at the Grange Hall at 16787 Forest Avenue. Art Auction and Vendor Fair (10 vendors: Olive Oil, quilts, soaps, crotchet, knitted items, socks) 10 am - 4 pm, Queen Court visit 1 pm - 1:30 pm at the Hall. 4H Petting Zoo, Farm equipment and machinery.  Chili, Vegetarian Chili, roll, Fritos, and Grammy Wyatts' famous Almond Rocha will be available. 4H will have cold  beverages.

 

The Guinda Corner Store is open from 10 am - 6 pm.   Junktiques is a PASSPORT location.

 

Guinda Volunteer Fire Department:  BBQ Oysters, sausages, garlic bread & beverages.

Guinda Public Park on County Road 57 at the Guinda Bridge will be open and will have two restrooms.

 

BROOKS PASSPORT Location will be at the Seka Hills Olive Mill & Tasting Room and Capay Valley Vineyards.

 

Seka Hills:  10 am to 4 pm. Music by Sunset River Band 11 am - 2 pm. Almond Blossom Farm tours, 11 am - 2 pm. Cooking Demo Chef Casey at Noon;  Multiple Food Trucks. Vendors. Olive Oil ice cream, Seka Hills Artisan Deli.

 

Capay Valley Vineyards – Sat / Sun - Noon - 5 pm for wine tasting and tours. Picnic tables available. Passport location

 

CAPAY PASSPORT locations include, Capay Valley Lavender Farm, Taber Ranch, The Road Trip Bar & Grill, and The Honey Store

 

The Road Trip Bar & Grill:  Music: Sat 2/24 Noon – 4 pm Four Barrel; Sun 2/25 Noon – 4 pm Aca Daca.

 

Taber Ranch Vineyard and Event Center: 11 am – 5 pm   Sat 2/24: Music 1 pm – 4 pm. Max Hart Trio; Sun 11 am - 5 pm.  Music: Bottom Dwellers 1 - 4 pm. Tasting room will be open.  Wood fired pizza. Buckhorn Food Truck.

 

ESPARTO PASSPORT location at The Esparto Regional Chamber of Commerce tent on the square and will provide information on the entire day’s activities.

 

ESPARTO HIGH SCHOOL CAFETERIA: The Future Farmers of America (FFA) Breakfast is 7 am to 11 am.  All ages welcome.

 

ESPARTO REGIONAL LIBRARY: Books in Bloom Book Sale: Next to the Esparto Community Park.

 

ESPARTO COMMUNITY PARK:   60+ vendors, activities for kids, and The CAR SHOW sponsored by the Madison Fire Department.  7 Food Trucks.   Vendors 8 am - 4 pm  

 

2024 ALMOND FESTIVAL QUEEN COURT SCHEDULE OF EVENTS:   EHS FFA Breakfast:  9 - 9:30 am, Esparto Community Park:  9:30 – 10:45 am,  Road Trip Bar & Grill:  11:15 - 11:30 am,  Rumsey:   Noon - 12:45 pm, Guinda:  1 – 1:30 pm, Esparto Community Park:  2 pm - 3 pm.  

 

MUSIC: ESPARTO in the PARK:  

Saturday: 11 am - 2 pm: Todd Morgan & The Emblems. 

Sunday: 9 - 11 am - The Cantaliers, 1 - 4 pm - Grooveline.

 

VFW:  16812 Orleans Street (open 8 am).  Tri-Tip Sandwiches, Chili 11:30 am. Music: Front and Center Rick Morgan Noon - 4 pm. 

The Ravine at Sixteen: 10 am – 5 pm; Sun Music: Four Barrel 1 – 4 pm

Hog Canyon: Smoked Tri tip & Pulled pork specials  – Music: Last Call Band 12 - 4 pm on Sunday.

Esparto Volunteer Fire Department:  Car show. Tri-Tip sandwiches & beverages.
